At the East Part of Aegean are the 12 main Islands of Dodecanisos (Dodeka in Greek means Twelve and Nisos means Island).

 

Actually there are 12 large plus 150 smaller Greek islands, of which 26 are inhabited.

 

The 12 main ones are: Rhodos, Kos, Patmos,  Astipalea, Kalimnos, Karpathos, Kasos, Leros, Nisyros, Symi, Tilos and Kastellorizo.

 

Other Islands in the group include: Agathonisi, Alimia, Arkoi, Chalki, Farmakonisi, Gyali, Kinaros, Levitha, Lipsi, Nimos, Pserimos, Saria, Syrna and Telendos....
